Hide whole subject on iphones

Some of us don't use a laptop/pc anymore. It would be appreciated if you could give users the functionaity to hide a whole subject from our phone.

There's one particular subject I hate seeing due to their obsession with a single topic. I want to hide the whole subject, even though it should be something I'm interested and engaged in.
Need to get to a library pc if it isn't possible on an iphone.

I had to do it on a computer.

I'll try to get onto a desktop pc next week. It would be a good function on an iphone though if MN can get round to it.
I'd like to hide the Feminist subject due to the sheer volume of threads with the word 'Trans' in the title.
To be honest, I should also hide the baby name thread, as I'm not good with names and don't have strong opinions. There are often a lot of those in the Active threads too.

Any luck @DianaT1969? We'll let the tech team know you can't do this on your iPhone though and see whether they have a solution.

I hide topics using my android phone.

I can hide posts on the app (iPhone) but to hide while topics I had to go on my laptop in the end (very rarely use MN on the laptop).

Hi @DianaT1969 - unfortunately it's currently not possible to hide a topic on the apps, because it's more a fairly niche feature. We'd consider adding it in the future if there's consensus that people would like it.

This is revolutionary, I had no idea you could hide whole subjects.

You can hide a thread/subject on the iPhone app - on the subject list just swipe towards the left and select hide.

I don't think you can automatically hide all posts from a particular forum using the iPhone app.

I agree re the trans posts too - I'm just not interested in reading them. It would be good to be block keywords in subjects or the whole feminism forum as that's where most of those posts are.
