How do you tag a user on an android phone?

Just changed over from an iphone and not sure how to tag users any ideas? I'm using a Samsung

There's an @ on a Samsung keyboard. So you just type the @ and the user name, like this :

@tvhearts

You don't have to make it bold because it does it automatically.

Abandon the app and use the mobile site with Internet or preferably Chrome: the tag will work perfectly!

Well, except that some users have the function turned off so can't be summoned. Do you want to try tagging me in case it's the user you're tagging that's causing the issue?

It worked I think but no option to choose the name, so must have to type in the whole name - ok if it's a short one!!

You can long press on names to select them then Copy and Paste - to aid accuracy when it's e.g. User177485322 !

I have no solution but glad it isn't just me. I always forget how to spell people's names when I'm trying to reply to them so thought the tagging thing was brilliant. Good idea about copying and pasting but not so much if you want more than one person I suppose.
