I understand it's a free site but I am fed up with your cookies and ads.
Well done on your success Mumsnet but your site is becoming more like Facebook.
Very fed up with it.
And just like Facebook you may implode!!

Ad blocker. Loads of people here use one.

Thanks will do. When I have regained the will to live.
Just joking and I will do it now, even!

Hi there OP,

We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback. So that we have a better understanding of your user experience, could you let us know what device and browser you use to access the site?

Are there any adverts in particular that you're finding to be a bit too intrusive?

misscockerspaniel · 15/05/2018 20:16

Can I jump on this thread and ask dear MN to remove flashing ads eg the Boohoo one on Chat (currently on the thread about Meghan M's relatives being brought over by Good Morning Britain to commentate on the wedding). Flashing ads are fit and migraine inducing. Thanks.

Monty27 · 16/05/2018 02:48

Yes me too misscocker.
I am on an android phone and have tried everything to block the ads without success. I don't really want to give any further information.
The flashing ads when on a desktop are even worse.
Never mind Monty it's just a commercial?
Hmm

I had to delete your cookies policy just to post above.
Presumably I shall get another 20 emails tomorrow that I shall have to unsubscribe from. Shock

I don't want any ads Lorna.
I am a grown up just chatting and debating with topics that interest me and like minded people, or.maybe not so. I know what topics to hide and/or avoid.
However Mumsnet is.becoming less user friendly.
The ads are also mainly geared towards those who are on high salaried jobs as another example of the irritation.
The flashing needs to stop. I complained about it years ago when it first started and I had a migraine. I was using a desktop at that time.
