name change for good

Hi, I would just like to know if it is possible to namechange for good (ie when I want to change to another name I like and stick with it) without having to set up a new profile and let my profile be visible to other MNers but be able to namechange for privacy reasons when I want to post incognito iyswim.

you can change as often as you like.
go to my registration and change your name, then keep it that way until you wish to post privatly...then you just revert to your normal name again.

I know I can namechange as much as I like as long as I'm not being nasty, but whenever I change, my profile is hidden. So if I might decide to change my name to hubbyswife or whatever and stick with the new name (am still waiting for THAT name to pop up in my head, am getting there....) nobody would be able to look at my profile anymore even though I'd be oK with it. Was that more understandable? [shuffles away hoping someone will understand....]

I didn't realised my profile would be hidden when I changed names. I've just set up my profile, and don't usually use this name!
