What happens if I delete my MN account?

If I delete my account, is my posting history still there in all perpetuity? Or does that get deleted too?

As far as I know all your posts would remain

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 07/05/2018 14:13

All your Posts remain unless you ask Hq to delete them all. They don’t do this very often.

PanPanPanPing · 07/05/2018 18:22

Nothing happens, it just means that you've de-registered. If you want all of your posts to go, then you have to ask MNHQ to delete them all. They might, or might not, depending on your circumstances.

FuckCisNoise · 07/05/2018 18:25

Historically they have only deleted posting history where a specific threat exists (poster has been outed in rl/ dv etc) realistically, de-regging just removes your posting rights.

RivkaMumsnet · 07/05/2018 19:01

Just to confirm what's been said already.

If you deregister, your posting history remains although there are specific occasions where we have removed historical posts at someone's request.

If this is something you're considering or concerned about, do email [email protected] and we will do whatever we can to help.
