Hi HQ
One of my threats was deleted, it was one on AIBU about Gender Day
I just want to say I am happy to provide evidence to HQ that the thread was genuine. I didn’t want to post evidence on the thread as I didn’t want to give the name of the school to the whole of mumsnet

How many threads are there?

Thegreatestshowwomen · 22/04/2018 22:19

Just the one that has been deleted

Ohh I hope you do as I believe one troll hunter promised to pay £50 to charity if it was true. 😄

sheddooropen · 22/04/2018 22:27

What was the post? Its sounds like a good one

MNscum · 22/04/2018 22:29

Was it deleted because they thought you were a troll?

MipMipMip · 22/04/2018 22:31

Have you reported your thread to hq so they see this?

YippeeTipTap · 22/04/2018 22:35

The first thing mentioned in the deletion message was the amount of troll hunting and that they were looking behind the scenes, that’s all.

OP, Did you get an email from MNHQ? Check your spam folder if you haven’t already. I don’t know but I think if they are unsure they sometimes send an email. They haven’t blocked you as you are still using the same username.

Thegreatestshowwomen · 23/04/2018 03:08

I honestly don’t know, I don’t have a message. It may be more due to the troll hunting. I just don’t want people thinking I am a troll as I use mumsnet a lot and I just honestly wanted an opinion on something

I have the school online newsletter that I am happy to take a screenshot of and show HQ and I suppose I could have blocked out the game of the school on the thread but the format and style would be easily recognisable to another parent or staff or government etc which I know is unlikely but I think I actually recognised myself on a different post a few days ago so not impossible

Not government I mean governor

Isn’t this a Taat?

This one could go poooof too.

daisychain01 · 23/04/2018 03:42

When a TAAT is one that's been started by the OP, that's somewhat different. This is the OP discussing their own thread and wanting to prove their authenticity. Which is quite different to other people discussing another thread stated by someone else, which can be like people talking about you behind your ack without you being there to defend yourself.

OP I didn't see your deleted/hidden thread but I hope you get things resolved, as it isn't nice not being believed Sad

Do you have any emails from mnhq? You could reply to this email giving them a scanned copy.

YippeeTipTap · 23/04/2018 11:05

Have you heard anything yet?

I thought I'd noticed that the mumber of troll hunting post was increasing recently. They clamped down on it a lot a while back but it seemed like it was increasing again. Obviously I don't know if that's true or just because I noticing it.

OP, Have you reported you first post in this thread?

YippeeTipTap · 24/04/2018 08:38

@Thegreatestshowwomen Have you heard anything yet?

JoanneMumsnet · 24/04/2018 10:05

Just letting you know that we've been in touch with the OP and explained our reasons for deleting her thread. It looks as though we removed it because it had been completely derailed by troll hunting posts and was in danger of descending into a bit of a bun fight.

As ever, we ask people to report threads to us if they have any suspicions at all.

Mummyoflittledragon · 24/04/2018 11:28

Thanks Joanne for letting us know. Smile
