How to get a thread moved to another topic

Sorry if this has been asked thousands of times but how can I request that a thread be moved to a more suitable topic?

I recently replied to a post on 'Chat' but it really should be in 'mental health issues' or a 'post birth thread'.

I'm a bit worried about the OP and want them to get good advice but her thread will just get lost in the 'Chat' abyss.

As a previous poster said, sometimes an OP has posted in the Chat topic specifically because they know their thread will auto-delete in time, or because there's generally more traffic in that topic.

Some posters may not be aware that there's a more suitable place to post, though. If it's appropriate to do so, you could post on the thread to suggest the OP might like the thread to be moved, or you could send them a PM (again, if it seems appropriate).

Or you could report the thread so we can take a look - we sometimes send a mail to an OP if we think their thread might be better placed in a different topic. Obviously we try to be as sensitive as possible and always leave it up to them to decide - if they're happy to leave things be, we'll step back.
