Can't start a new thread in Local

I'm trying to start a new thread under Local, but when I try and post I get this message:

No places found - please search for valid place or use your current location.

I've tried to use my two local towns and post code in the Location box, but just get the same message for each option. I've also turned on location services, but it isn't being picked up automatically. Am I missing a trick here?

First of all, huge apologies for not responding sooner - this one must have slipped the net somewhat! Which really isn't okay considering you've been struggling since April.

We're going to look into this right away but we'll need some personal information from you (postcode and such) so that tech can look into what's causing the issue.

Could you report your post to us using the report button and include the information that you're putting into the site? If you could also provide a screenshot of the error, we'd be v. grateful.

Yay - a reply. Have attached screenshot of error and PM'd details.

It would probably also help to mention I am using the las test version of Windows and the Edge browser
