I've just made the leap from an iPhone to a Samsung S9, I used the mumsnet app on my iPhone a lot and I really liked it, now I'm finding the android app really frustrating to use. Nothing flows and buttons are in daft places. Why is the app so different to iPhone?
Examples:
- Watch thread lives at the top where the OP is, so you have to scroll all the way back to the top to click watch and lose where you were reading
- When you click a thread from active they don't get marked as read so when you go back to active it's hard to tell which ones you've already clicked on
- when you start a new thread and you want to choose a new topic you have to scroll down past all of the text boxes to a list, when surely the list should pop up where you click choose topic
The whole app is designed really clumsily and it's almost as if nobody bothered to test it from the viewpoint of an actual user, it's like they needed to make sure all of these features were present but just shoved them in any old place.
I have tried to put paragraphs in but they probably won't work - another thing I didn't have an issue with on iPhone!
