How can I search for and read all posts by a certain poster?

If I do an advanced search using a poster's name, I get a list of all the posts they've ever written, but if I click on one of the results I simply end up on the first page of the thread. How can I filter one poster's messages and actually read them without having to wade through the entire thread? (for example, all the OP's messages in a long thread)

If you click on the little star on the left that will highlight that poster's posts, so that they are more obvious as you scroll, certainly. If it's a really long thread, though, you can click Control + F to bring up a search box and type the poster's name, then just arrow down to see only their posts? Want to give that a try and see if that solves the problem? Apologies that it's not exactly what you were after...
