Open a thread from TIO and page jumps randomly down

Apologies for title but I thought it would make sense to someone experiencing the same.

If I click on a post (not thread) link in my TIO it used to send me to that thread but bookmarked to the post clicked on. That was a very useful feature.

Now instead it jumps down the thread to a random place - sometimes my last post, sometimes down below the "add post" box and its associated advert, sometimes twenty posts down, etc. This is not a good feature.

It's been maybe a week?

Chrome for Android.
Site settings 100 posts per page, newest first, highlight OP's and my posts.

Anyone else experiencing this? It's only a mild annoyance really but is definitely new and feels a bit like it's trying to get me back to where I left off which would be fantastic if and only if it worked. Nothing similar happening on any other site.

Hi MrsHathaway. I can see why you mightn't be a fan of this 'feature' - sounds most annoying! We'll flag this to tech now so they can take a look. In the meantime, if anyone else is experiencing similar problems please let us know here. Cheers .

it's also still not going back to the previous page with the back button consistently

it seems to pick a page and just keeps returning to it if you use the back button

Thanks for this MsHomeSlice . Could you let us know what device you are on and how you are accessing the site, just in case that's at the root of all this.

I am google chrome on a laptop, I am too old to MN on my phone, it's all too small! ;)
