Could mumsnet introduce a 'tag' system for chat?

I keep seeing posters talking about wanting different sections for various things where there are a number of users who want it but maybe not enough to use it as a thiriving section. So I was thinking it would be great if you could just filter chat to show specific things ie: netflix and hide certain things ie: trans. All it would need is the ability to add a 'tag' to the post when an OP creates it and then filter by the tags. Or people could leave it and see everything still? Then mumsnet would be able to add a tag , for things like trigger warnings where necesssary so people can see in advance what the thread is like too. Is there any chance this would work?

It's an interesting idea, and certainly something we could consider if enough Mumsnetters liked the idea. However, these things are often not as easy to implement as they may first appear.

We do have a system in place already where you can hide a thread or topic. Therefore reducing the number of things you see to only those that are of interest.
