Deleted Posts - Message?

Hi,

If I report a post, I get a message from MNHQ telling me that they've deleted it & thanking me for reporting it (normally personalised, not generic).

Would it be possible to receive a similar message when one of my own is deleted - preferably with the deleted text & a reason - sometimes it's been a big post & it's obviously a key word or turn of phrase that has caused the deleted, so it'd be nice to have the chance to edit it & repost so that the valid points are still made.

It's a bit of a minefield on here as to what is a deletable offence as deletion isn't consistent (depends on whether it's reported or not I suppose).

Cheers

Hi OP,

We can imagine that it can be frustrating if you have had a post deleted and you don't know why.

Currently, we don't email every poster who has had a post deleted. As you can imagine we respond to a lot of reports every day and if we also had to contact the posters of deleted posts we would have no time to deal with everything else.
However, if you reported your deleted post to us we would be more than happy to let you know why it was deleted.

OK, cool - thanks!

It was more cerebral than a simple "f*ck off" I promise!! Grin
