AND she insists that the blue/brown eyed thing is more complicated than just brown-dominant/blue-recessive genes.

Sheesh.

Twiglett · 30/04/2007 18:10

she's a plumber you know

she'll be sucking air in through her teeth

Blandmum · 30/04/2007 18:11

She's right there tho!

I'm on her side in the Blue/brown eye'd clique

Tamum · 30/04/2007 18:11

I am the queen I'll have you know, we just established that, so there

Tamum · 30/04/2007 18:11

That's right, I do that sucking air thing every time I see eye colour genetics posts

Blu · 30/04/2007 18:12

Yes, but she couldn't NOT bring 'pelting with teddies' to our attnetion, could she?

She was a victim of her own absent-mindedness fulfilling the made scientist stereotype again

Blandmum · 30/04/2007 18:13

the real Tamum

Tamum · 30/04/2007 18:13

Thank you Blu, I was providing a public service, wasn't I.

QueenDragonofSoup · 30/04/2007 18:13

Oh wwe've not had the eye thing on a thread for at least a fortnight. I might sneak off and start one.

Tamum · 30/04/2007 18:13

Mb, the cheek of it . Not that you'd know what I look like, eh eh, what with all the standing me up

Tamum · 30/04/2007 18:14

SOUPY, YOU DARE!!!

Blandmum · 30/04/2007 18:14

'coo, 'oos been giving you genetic information. Real cowboys! Wouldn't know a allele if it bit 'em'

"Blue eyed sister & BIL, niece has brown eyes, BIL insisting the child can not be his and has thrown sister out..."

Blu · 30/04/2007 18:16

I thnk 'pelting with teddies' may be added to the MN dictionary of shorthand, slang and cliquey language.

monkeytrousers · 30/04/2007 18:27

It is more complicated than that Queenofdragonsoup

Tamum · 30/04/2007 18:29

She knows, oh she knows. She just likes tormenting me....

QueenDragonofSoup · 30/04/2007 18:31

I prefer "teasing". "Tormenting" sounds so cruel and calculated...

monkeytrousers · 30/04/2007 18:33

Oh, is that you Soupy - it is more complicated. Two right handed parents can still have a left handed child

Tamum · 30/04/2007 18:33

How about gentle joshing? More fluffy and babyworldy

'AND she insists that the blue/brown eyed thing is more complicated than just brown-dominant/blue-recessive genes.'

Wait a minute, isn't that complicated enough?

Still, should I ask why my dd has blue eyes like me when I thought that she would probably have brown eyes like her dad... is it like a hidden recessive thing....? ARGH

QueenDragonofSoup · 30/04/2007 19:37

Noooo, don't ask. Whatever you don don't ask. Just know that it is Perfectly Reasonable and Likely for your DD to have blue eyes

Marina · 30/04/2007 20:39

Pelting with teddies is fabulous.
But ...you can't trust her, agreed
