Can we have a CF topic?

They used to be fun. Now I'm sick of AIBU turning into Cheeky Fucker central and I don't think I'm the only one. I do know that some people love them though so maybe a topic would be helpful? People could placemark to their heart's delight

Thanks for the suggestion! We do get the feeling that CF threads are a bit like marmite...

Anyway, the suggestion has been noted and we'll be keeping a close eye on the responses here.

The problem with any new niche topics is that people won't actually start threads in them anyway.

So if there is a CF topic, people will still start threads in AIBU - or maybe Chat.

I was looking at, and indeed posted on, a thread in AIBU this morning about a dress to wear at a wedding as a guest. It was a lovely dress!

But someone on that thread suggested that the OP should have asked in Style & Beauty. Not only had the OP not realised that there is an S&B topic, but a few others hadn't realised either.

There are so many topics and so many people don't realise they exist.

I don't know what the answer is.

I love a CF thread! I think it'd be great to have them in one place.

But how can they only be in one place, Sand, if the OPs don't know there's a CF topic anyway? So they wouldn't know to post there in the first place. Otherwise the OPs will continue to post their CF threads where they always do - AIBU (usually!).

I give you the Christmas topic as another example. There is a Christmas topic - but how about all the threads on Chat and AIBU about Christmas? Again, people either don't know it's there or CBA to post in it.

Do we really need another topic??

And anyway CFs are the latest fad on MN. It will die a death before you know it - given that many of us find it a tad tedious already
