Bookmarked thread jumps to adverts at bottom

This morning I noticed that when I opened a thread that I'd previously bookmarked, it jumped to the bottom of the page, and the adverts, rather than stopping where the bookmark is - I have threads so newest comments are at the bottom.
Using chrome and the website, but on an android tablet.

Hi SandLand,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We've not had any other complaints about this yet - do you mind if we ask a couple of questions? Is this happening regularly, or did it just happen the once? What topic did this happen in? E.g. Chat/AIBU.

Let us know. Flowers

Its happening on everything that I've bookmarked (so opened from threads I'm on, I assume). So, chat, Aibu, exceris e....
Fine when it's a slow moving thread, but on a fast moving on, it's a pain!

Hi OP,

Do you have any other device/browser you could test out, see if it still happens for you? That way, we'll be able to identify if it's just a chrome issue and if it is, we'll probably find the problem quicker!

I've just tried using the Samsung internet browser, and it's not happening.
I've also worked out it doesn't happen if I go straight to the page (ie click on the link), but dose happen if I open in new link....

But if it's just me, it might well be my configurations. No one else is shouting. I'm obviously "special"!!!

Alright well, it does sound annoying so we'll keep an eye and our tech team will continue to try and replicate. Smile
