App stopping working

PeterPiperPickedSeaShells · 23/01/2018 10:17

The app has a really annoying habit of stopping loading threads every so often. It needs me to shut the app down completely & restart it to get it working again, it's not a connection problems as other apps (twitter / Facebook) work fine when MN stops.
I use the app on iPad & iPhone & have the same issue on each device
Thanks

Thank god it's not just me! It's happened a few times and at first I thought it was our ridiculously crap internet connection but I could log onto other apps just fine.

I get the same message about once a week, and the WiFi is connected ok and working for all the other apps on my iPhone.

Happens all the time to me too

Hi folks,

Sorry that this is happening - can imagine it's quite annoying. We're not sure that Tim (our brilliant app developer) is aware and so we're going to ask him to check things out.

Hey guys, thanks for raising this, we're looking into the problem. In general the response rate is fairly good (I've shown you the active thread success rate) - but they should be better! We're looking into it now.

Does the refresh repeatedly fail when you try it?

Usually fails yes, I end up force closing the app and reopening it, when it tends to be fine.

It's happened again this morning, and happened four times yesterday (iPhone 7, latest iOS).

Happens to me quite often too.
No matter what thread I try to open it says I don't have connection (I do) and then I have to shut down the app and restart it again.
This doesn't always work either, it'll open a few and then shut down again.

As the others have said -once the "message of doom" appears, it will it restart on its own.
Interestingly I have never had this message when posting, only when opening an existing thread
