How can i hide a topic?

I'm on my phone but have moved to the desktop site. I've looked at other identical threads but they all link to a page where you can manage your hidden threads, not topics.

And, judging by the number of identical questions, you really need to make this clearer for everyone, mumsnet hq.

Click on the little arrow in the circle next to Talk. Click on 'Customise' then scroll to the bottom.

Thanks. But it's just the manage hidden threads that I can see. Where do I hide entire topics?

If you scroll down to the bottom you should see

Ignore topics in Active Conversations

You can opt never to see certain topics in Active Conversations or opt in to see the Special Needs topic (which otherwise does not display). To manage these options (and your list of hidden threads, if you have any), use the link below (but do save first if you have made other changes on this page).

If you click on the box you can then move whole topics from unhidden to hidden and back again.

Here? But if I click on either of these it doesn't go anywhere. Where's the list of topics? I don't understand it. I have done it before, I have a vast array of topics hidden but I want to change them.

That's strange mine doesn't look like that at all. I have reported the thread in the hope MNHQ can come and advise.

This is what you should see when you click on the manage topics button. What's underneath your hidden threads list? What browser are you using?

Phew, I thought I was never going to understand it. I have looked at so many identical questions from other people this morning and they were all basically saying what you have said and I was starting to feel a bit thick!

That's what I see Lorna, on desktop google Chrome.

Hi Lorna, I'm using chrome on a mobile phone but I was doing all the above on the desktop mode.

Here is what's under the hidden threads, just adverts and shortcuts.

I'm just sending this thread over to site stuff and will be asking tech to take a look!
