Op name green on the app

When I’m scrolling through placemarking etc for updates on threads on the app I like that I can just keep an eye out for the OP being in a different colour- however the fairy advert that comes across the middle of the thread regularly is also green - I don’t mean to sound precious pants, but could you change either the colour of the OPs name or the fairy advert please?

Totally agree with this.
The fairy ad makes it so difficult when skimming through for posts by OP.

I'm not sure how it works on the App, because I use the desktop site, but if you go into Customise and then Preferences www.mumsnet.com/Talk?call=Preferences you can change both the OP's colour and set a colour for your own posts.

I meant "set a different colour for your own posts" if you wish!

I assumed it was done on purpose - the number of times i have stopped & gone back up to look at OP's post only to see a Fairy advert. But then I am rather sceptical

Yes, if you go into that link for Preferences as I posted above ^.

But, as I said, I'm on the desktop site not the App - so I don't know how it works there.

Here's a screenshot from mine. Where it says highlight posts by thread author, that's where you can change the OP's colour.

And, sorry, but I think the 'green coloured' Fairy adverts are quite irrelevant to other colours on MN!! I'm currently seeing ads for Nurofen which are mainly orange and red!!

On the app you ONLY get fairy ads. Which are exactly the same colour as the ops posts. I, too, figured it was intentional so that we scroll back and double glance the ads thinking we’d missed an update from the op.

Going to see if the stuff in pans post works, just got to remember log in details to get on the desktop site to change settings!

I was thinking about this last night too - have been waiting for them to change the fairy advert for years! Also think it's a cynical non-coincidence though

Changed the setting on he desktop site but it makes no difference to the app settings...
