Links in OPs

I noticed a while back but forgot to ask. Not been any threads I've started myself, just those I've read.

Is it intentional that links no longer work in OPs, or is it a fault somewhere your end/with a particular browser or app?

I put link in OP about a week ago and it worked. But I had problem liking on post few days ago, but it's working now. Confused

user789653241 · 24/12/2017 13:01

*linking, not liking!

PanPanPanPing · 24/12/2017 16:44

Do you mean in the title? Or in your message? I'm going to do a test now!

PanPanPanPing · 24/12/2017 16:48

So www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3120878-Test-for-links-inOP-working-http-www-bbc-co-uk-news-uk, no the link in the title doesn't work.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 24/12/2017 16:58

I don't think links ever worked in the titles.

I also don't think they ever auto converted links in the first post either (though that may be to keep spammers down).

They do work in the first post if you put square brackets around them though and elsewhere in the thread if it is a www link

PanPanPanPing · 24/12/2017 17:11

I know, ItsAllGoingToBeFine, that's why I've asked Beyond whether she means the OP message or the OP title.

Obviously links don't work in the title, but it's a bit odd if they don't work in the OP message.

BeyondAssignation · 24/12/2017 17:27

Sorry yeah I meant links in the first post, not the title

Hey Beyond

Links should be working as normal as far as we're aware! We'll test this out and check with Tech and will come back to confirm what's going on as soon as poss.

Merry Christmas to you all! Xmas Smile
