@ not working

I've been @ on a thread and not received the email to tell me (this is ticked in my customise options and I've received emails before). I @ another poster and they didn't get an email either. Is it broken generally?

Hmm. Just had a look at your posts and am wondering if the @ function didn't work because you'd bolded up the poster's name... Hmm.

On second thoughts, I've just discovered that the bold function happens automatically. (This is why they don't usually let me loose on Site Stuff).

I'm asking if anyone in the know, knows if we have a problem here. Bear with me!

Just checked my emails - none for that mention! I have just received one about a PM so I am getting other MN emails.

But I've just seen an error. See my screenshot. @noblegiraffe is not all showing in bold (nowt to do with my post). So

When I mentioned noble on another thread (using @) the whole thing was in bold (see pic).
