NFP survey with the '£25 John Lewis' voucher

Last night there was a survey claiming to be about smoothies with a £25 John Lewis voucher (which was actually a 50% off supposedly and only redeemable from January)

I had my suspicions but wasn't fussed if there was a voucher or not. I figured MN had to approve these things but apparently not.

Now it's been deleted! And I've given my email address.

Can you tell us if this was a scam mumsnet? Is my email going to be filled with spam now 🙄

I've just come on to ask the exact same thing, it looked quite legit, where has it gone? Never got the voucher either....

Hey Tobuy I received an egift card for £25 today. It all looks legit. I think the survey was genuine after all. Not so worried now.

I did not receive the promised reward by email and would also appreciate any input from MN about how legit this was...

Thanks for the update naughty, still nothing received here. I'll report this thread to MNHQ and see if they have an answer.

Hi both,

Thanks so much for flagging this - really sorry to hear you're having concerns about this (and sorry for the delay in getting back to you).

We've had a look and whilst we're unable to confirm that anyone on the internet is who they say they are, we can confirm that we removed this post because we felt that the reward was misleading to other users taking part in the survey.

We're not able to verify posters on the NFP topic, or anywhere else on the boards, and so when anyone gives information out in this way, we have no control over knowing what happens to it. Although we don't approve these kinds of posts before they go up, we're always happy to take a look when something is reported to us.

We do think that this raises a very good point and so we're going to add a disclaimer to the top of the topic to make people aware of this.
