Mumsnet local - adding a listing

I've just tried to add a couple of listings (got a Horrid Henry fan here!) and found that because I only know the first part of the postcode, the listing is shown in the middle of that area - miles from the actual location... Help?

Also, I thought I'd try adding a second attraction by clicking on the map first so I knew I'd got it in the right place - but I just get an 'error on page' message (in the grey bit in the bottom lh corner of comp screen...). Help again - this is dh's gee wizz computer so it generally has the brains to do most things. Shame I don't too!

Hi jamiesamfreddie,
You should be able click on a marker and move it where you like. And I've just tried to add a listing by clicking on a map and it was working fine... so maybe have another go and and keep your fingers crossed? If that fails then we'll call Tech in from the shed.
Thanks for trying.

while we're on the subject, it would be good to have a feature to check that the name you enter doesn't already exist before putting all the info in. I spent ages creating a listing earlier and then afterwards realised someone had already done the place!

Thanks Kelly IIRR that feature is on Tech's to do list so we live in hope .

The map instructions say 'On the map click on the street where you'd like to add your listing and then fill in the form that appears' - that's when I get the error on page message.

If I try to click and drag a key marker on to the map I get the circle with a diagonal line across it which means I'm trying to do something 'illegal'!

Sorry, I really am hopeless (and do I need to tell you where the misplaced attraction is or will tech be able to find it???)

Sounds like your computer blocking your access somehow. Will get Tech out of the shed... but as he's on US time... won't be for a while.

where is the button on the website to add a listing?

AnyaMumsnet · 19/07/2019 17:07

Hi there @carolynaddelman1

We're really sorry but we no longer have listings on Mumsnet, as we've close Mumsnet Local. Apologies for the inconvenience Flowers
