Has this actually been commissioned and approved by MNHQ? If it was, why wasn't it 'stickied'?

This request came in from a student from the University of Salford, who contacted us to say that their assignment for this term is making a programme about Mumsnet, and to ask us to ask for participants. We suggested that they post in our student/not-for-profit topic, which is where their request has now been moved.

We'll put an edit into the OP to make this clear.

Thanks, Lorna. I'm a bit of a numpty, aren't I?!

I had interpreted his OP to imply he'd been commissioned by MNHQ. It has subsequently occurred to me that it's part of his Uni project and nothing to do with you.

But his first paragraph is a bit ambiguous and open to interpretation!!
