Why is there a broken heart symbol on Active Threads, and a pouty mouth on Search?

Both symbols make no sense to me!

Oh, and “I’m on” is showing some skyscrapers.

And I’m getting a megaphone symbol where you can usually add a photo?

Seems a bit of a, er, cryptic choice of symbols.

First time I’ve ever seen it. Page loaded normally, everything looked normal including font.

Thanks for folllowing up. It did disappear within 10 Mins, I just wondered from a technical point of view what causes it.

So if the standard glyphs (the icons) they use for whatever reason don't load (there can be loads of reasons for this!), then your browser is basically like, oh crap, theres nothing there! Better fill it, so it falls back in this case to using apple emojis. So it's not left just blank

Basically the non-technical way to describe it would be, you come to my house, you ask for a fork, I panic, I have no forks! So I throw some chopsticks at you. It'll do!

I quite often have MN turn Chinese on me. I would post a pic but my ability to post them has vanished. It's the endless circle of doom.
