Sometimes (not always) the page doesn't display correctly - see attached photos.

The above pics were on my mobile phone. The same issue occurs on my tablet in that the adverts appear off centre, but because the screen is bigger it doesn't mess with the forum width.

This.

The shortcut buttons are hit and miss as well.

Sometimes they're stretching across the expanded screen and sometimes they've disappeared completely.

I'm getting this problem too.

Latest Android and Google. Chrome.

FlissMumsnet · 19/10/2017 21:25

Thanks for letting us know, this sounds pretty annoying so it's useful to have as much detail as possible.

Dermymc thanks for letting us know how you're accessing the site...

Gingernaut & ItsAllGoingToBeFine - would you let us know which devices/browsers you're using so we can take a closer look

Dermymc · 19/10/2017 21:33

Here's what it looks like.

I'm using a Samsung tablet (Android) with the latest chrome browser, and a Nexus 5X phone with the latest android (Oreo) and latest Chrome.

It's not happening with all adverts - would it be useful for you to know which adverts it is happening with?

Teach first and Ford ads so far are messing around with the page.

Gingernaut · 19/10/2017 21:47

Samsung S7 with Google Chrome

Believeitornot · 19/10/2017 21:49

The level of ads drives me mad full stop. It drains my mobile phone battery!

MulhuddartDrive · 21/10/2017 00:27

Happening on my oneplusone android too. This page seems fine, but other ads, eg something called iHerb, is making the page go wonky.

MulhuddartDrive · 21/10/2017 00:28

And now that I mention iherb, the ad has just popped up and kiboshed my page Hmm

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/10/2017 09:46

Any update MNHQ?

Oooh, I've been getting all this - thought it was my phone. Only way to see the bottom buttons is to shrink the page. And when scrolling down it wants to slide off the side which can be a tad irritating when reading a thread - having to keep sliding back out of white space.

Samsung, generic browser.

oldsilver · 21/10/2017 18:00

See - lots of white space, shrunken text and shrunken, elongated bottom blue buttons.

Hey all, so sorry for the delay in coming back to you. Thanks for all the screenshots and information, this is really helpful and we're talking to the ads team now to get to the bottom of what's happening here.

Thank you for your patience! Brew

oldsilver · 24/10/2017 16:21

It seemed to stop happening yesterday but has now restarted. The text normally fills the whole screen. I have not changed any settings. Doesn't seem to happen when CQC ads are up ?!?

Of course the bonus is that we only see half the adverts Grin

Thanks for the screenshots, folks. And sorry that these ads are still causing problems for some of you. We've given our Ads team a nudge.

Please ignore this post.

I was just testing to see if I could post because it didn't work on any other topic.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 29/10/2017 11:47
