Why are some threads deleted without a message?

Why do some threads just disappear as if they had never existed, and with no message from MNHQ?

Hi Brasty,

There should be a message, are you on the desktop or mobile site?

brasty · 04/10/2017 20:21

I am on the desktop, and it has happened a few times. I can guess why the threads were deleted, but just wondered why no message?
Latest one was the one that has just been zapped about a slow day at MN.

I can see the deletion message now. Ignore this then, maybe it is just my laptop.

I zapped that one a short while ago, if you go to the thread, there should be a deletion message.

We post on the thread before we zap it if it is very active, if not, we remove the thread with a deletion message explaining why.

That specific thread was removed for being a TAAT.

brasty · 04/10/2017 20:27

Yes I guessed that is why it was deleted. I can see the deletion message now thanks.

If you ever want more about a thread deletion, do send an email over to [email protected].

When you delete a thread it would be really useful if the thread title could still show on the deletion message please. I lose far to many brain cells trying to work out which thread has gone. And also when I've been watching a thread and then it's deleted it just disappears from my watch list with no deletion message, again this is annoying. Thanks for reading
