How to see the profiles of other posters?

When I mouse over the handles of people in the talk forums I just get a little box that shows the handle/name to me again. Is there a way to see a list of their posts, and how to get to someone's public profile?

If you hover over the name and it becomes underlined (as mine does) you can click and see the profile. It used to be that you didn't need to hover to see the underlined-ness - people with profiles were automatically underlined, IYSWIM. I don't think many people bother anymore.

I'm talking about the desktop/laptop/don't know the technical word version - not sure what happens on mobile site or app.

Thanks for the reply Hassled. I'm using Chrome on windows and I don't see the underline when I hover over your name. It might be because I get an error when I try to make my profile public and it's an issue or reciprocity. Or it might be because my account is quite new, or even because I registered from outside the UK.

It's not a technical issue. most MNers don't use the profile function.

I'm using Chrome on windows and I see the underline when I hover over
hassled's name. I don't think it's chrome issue.

If you see the underline, then click on the MNer's name and then that brings up a new page showing their profile. However, these days, profiles are quite brief (I think) and there are no profile photos since JeffGate.

It works! I wasn't seeing the underline indicating a link because of the silly box that opened up repeating the user name. When I click through on those who have a public profile I see it.

My only issue now is that when I try to make my own profile public I get an error that says "We had a problem. Update unsuccessful: "
