Is this an app problem? The number count is different when I log into the thread!

Let me show you by screenshots.

My "threads I'm on" pages shows 30 replies on the top thread (troll knickers thread).

When I log in, it says there are only 28 posts.

I logged in and out a few times and it didn't change anything to make the numbers agree.

A night watchmen posted a few times, so I'm wondering if that just isn't counted in the numbers, or is there a glitch?

Hello!

Going to flag this up to the app team - thanks so much for flagging.

Not sure if it helps to know, but the same thread shows as though it's been updated with a new post (the counter turns white) and when I take a look there is nothing new. It temporarily turns blue until I refresh the 'threads I'm on' page, when it is the only thread turning the counter to white again (making me think someone new has posted again, when they haven't).

It's probably all part of the same problem as it's the only thread it happens to, but thought it worth mentioning as it could help diagnostically

Yes same here.

falandb · 26/09/2017 09:14

Same happens to me too

Lots of my 'threads I'm on' have the wrong colour. I haven't discerned a pattern to it. Its been like this a couple of days or so, I think.

whojamaflip · 26/09/2017 11:14

Just come on to say the same thing - thread numbers in my watch list are about 20 more than it says when I open the thread - most peculiar Hmm

seventeenlittleducks · 26/09/2017 18:50

Yes! It's driving me insane especially when it's the colour white on 10 and when you open it is still where you left the thread on 5. Been going on for days now

@LornaMumsnet

I've just spotted a link. It's only the threads that clock the wrong number of posts that stay white. All the correct counters change colour once you're updated with the last post.

So for example, a thread about household gadgets shows 128 posts and is correct so isn't white unless it's updated with a new post. Another thread about heavy washing machine loads says it has 9 posts but actually has 7, and constantly stays white.
