I think goady fuckers who post links to MIND when they think someone is 'made' should be banned

No warnings, no deletion message, just an instant ban, zero tolerance.

It's so offensive and the fact HQ are slow to remove the posts make it worse imo. There's one that's been there since yesterday evening,I've just reported it again.

This is meant to be a supportive site ffs.

I haven't seen this? What an awful oudated thing to do.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/09/2017 10:06

Yes,that's exactly what it is. Outdated and offensive.

Totally agree with this.

I have had a mental health crisis this week and have been pretty hurt seeing people posting these links in a piss taking manner. It's this sort of attitude that gives mental health issues a horrible stigma.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/09/2017 10:21

Carl exactly,it's outrageous.

Hope you're feeling better soonFlowers

That's awful. I agree that they should be banned outright.

I work for MIND and they and others are trying really hard to stop end the stigma. I'm really not sure if the people who do this shit understand what it means for people who are struggling with their mental health.

Carl Thanks

Hi all,

We're really sorry for any upset that this post caused anyone. We do try our best to reports as quickly as possible but don't always manage to get straight down to it.

We removed the post for breaking our talk guidelines.

Does anything ever get mailed to posters who do this because unless it's pointed out to them how do they know their comment has been deleted?

@DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen

Yes, certainly! We do take certain things into consideration before taking the decision to email someone, but we definitely do email. For instance, if someone has been around a while and it's the only offence, we might hold off mailing to see if it happens again.

We work on a case by case basis and treat this similarly to other posts that break our talk guidelines.

Please do report any other posts like this that concern you.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/09/2017 13:32

Ok thanks, that's re assuring.

I don't know why it's suddenly started but needs to be stopped asap. It's awful.

Agreed, Dame. Do hit the report button if you see it again and we'll get onto it. Thanks for bringing it up.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 24/09/2017 22:30

Hopefully it won't crop up againSmile
