making photos 'visible to my mumsnet mates' hasnt worked-help anyone?

i put some pics of my new baby on my profile but i didnt want them totally public so i compiled a 'mates' list of people from the march ante/post natal threads so i could share my pics with them and when i uploaded the photos i selected 'visible to my mumsnet mates'.however,the ladies on the list are unable to view them.i have checked my spellings etc and everything looks ok so where have i gone wrong?

I believe that MN decided not to activate that part of the profiles (lots of complaints about cliques etc), so you either have to make them public (but you could do this just for a short time) or not show them at all.
