Creepy religious advert on MN

From Beloved Ministries. Asking "if you die today where will you go? Heaven or hell? Jesus is the way".

It's got nothing to do with any Google searches I've ever done.

I'm downloading ad blocker. I know MNHQ has got to pay the rent, but with an income of £7million you don't need this kind of advert.

You must have downloaded a cookie on your computer somewhere, triggering that ad. The ads seem to be personalised; I see one ad for flying with Finnair (a Finnish airline) and another in the Swedish language for travelling to the Canary islands. ...

MN probably doesn't choose the ads that run.

StevieNicksSilverSpring · 04/09/2017 12:09

MN have control over what ads appear.

Alpha - I haven't downloaded anything religious.

Hi there StevieNicks!

Thanks so much for flagging.

This sounds like a retargeted advert and so the likelihood is that it's not coming from us (we have checked with our adops team and this isn't something we're advertising).

That being said, we do really want to get to the bottom of it.

Could we ask that next time this happens, you take a screenshot of it?

Will do, Lorna. I do like being addressed as Stevie Nicks - goddess that she is Grin
