Yes I've got the buttons for watching and I'm on, but I don't know how to activate the I'm watching one, if you see what I mean. The I'm on one simply gives me all the threads I've posted on.

Hi all,

We realise that this is a really big PITA and we're truly sorry for the inconvenience it's causing.

Having spoken to our tech team this morning we can confirm they are working as fast as they can on fixing these glitches - hopefully by the end of today.

Ideally, this will all be sorted really soon but, as it's a techie fix, it would be unwise to make any promises. We can, however, confirm that tech will continue to work on this until it's all resolved.

Difference between TIO and TIW - TIO threads drop off your TIO after a set number of days (5 for me, I can't remember if this is something you can choose yourself in Customise, but I think so); whereas TIW stay there FOREVAH or until you get bored and delete them yourself. Or Techs fuck around with it and lose them all, of course.

Also - TIW are if you read, but don't post.

PMs are inaccessible, the title that you click to open has vanished and the whole page is overlaid with adverts!

TIO is a bit better today, but still not back to its correct old form.

So are threats you are watching, merely threads that you have clicked on?

In the past, when this were all green fields and it all worked and wasn't shit to look upon, you had to click on Watch this thread to keep track of it.
Then in some update in the last 2 years or so, the Gods Of MNHQ, or their minions, the Techs, did make it so that EVERY single thread you clicked on ended up in Threads I'm Watching, unless you went into "Customise" and ended that particular travesty. However, on doing this, side effects resulted which were extremely off-pissing.

Sometimes I'm interested in a thread but have nothing useful to post so I watch(ed) it.

Mine stopped working yesterday, then started again, and is now broken.

I wonder if releasing in the middle of the day (in the school hols) is quite the best implementation strategy?

Test server wouldn't help this shower, I'm afraid. It's clear the whole process from start to finish is deeply flawed. At least they're not handling money.
