One of the things that's come out of the last few days is the confusion over regular users and the lack of feedback over reports/bannings.
The subreddit (yes I'm lurking in a very passive undecided way since you mention the lurkers
) has wild speculation. Whilst you aren't accountable for what's discussed there, the fact it's a topic says there's an issue
Playing by the rules and reporting a poster results in no feedback.
A banned poster goes quietly or re-regs.
If nobody knows them offboard, nobody knows they're banned.
If they re-reg and we recognise them, how do we know to report as a PBP? If MNHQ staff weren't about for a 'thing' would they know?
How do users 'see' moderation beyond a deleted post? That works on an immediate level but not long term.
