Why can't we have things outside the UK in Mumsnet Local?

Hmm?

Well once we've filled up the UK we may well think about it

In terms of holiday resort-ish type stuff there'll be scope to add info about things to do and see etc on the new style reviews coming soon. As for the rest (Brownies in Dubai etc) well it's something worth thinking about and certainly we'll mention it once tech's had a bit of a lie down....

What is this 'mumsnet local' shenanigans? Is it another website? I keep seeing people mentioning it and not knowing what they mean

But us kiwis and aussies keep you lot running through the night ...
There was a time, a couple of years ago, that from NZ lunchtime (when all the die hard UK mumsnetters fell into bed) to NZ Teatime (when all the keen, chirpy, UK mumsnetter bounced out of bed) that Mumsnet was dead ... nothing moved in active convos unless it was me talking to myself.
These days it is buzzing 27/7, kiwis and aussies chatting, them thar folks in the US of A ....

Mumsnet is becoming a global phenomenon ...
And I would LOVE to know what is happening in terms of swimming lessons in Melbourne
