not sure you could call it polite - if the letters stand for what I think they do - I imagine it might offend the recipient.

if followed with a it would not offend me - but I can imagine that someone more fragile - or 42 weeks pregnant - or with PMT (do we have any of those round here ?) might be a little bit miffed .....

I couldnt measure fragility of PMT so not sure about those issues
