New problem with pictures crashing a thread

Whenever I open someone's posted picture, it freezes and there isn't an X on the top right hand side to click the picture away. So I have to close the app, then comeback in to find the thread all over again.

At first I thought t could be just one person's picture but it happened again on a different thread. It's a new problem, i'd say only in the last few days, but it could be that it's been a problem longer than that and just I haven't been clicking photos for a while. Or something.

Anyway, it's a new problem so I thought it best to flag up to HQ.

Hey @DodgyGround - thanks for raising the issue!

Usually when you open the image viewer, it's possible to show/hide the cross by tapping once on the image. It's also possible to close the image viewer by swiping the image up or down.

Do any of these work? For convenience I've included an image of what Apples new iOS 11 will look like...

Hi Tim, yours actually worked fine! I will try and find the old thread and see if that one is working today or not. I'll report back again!

I found he other thread and it was showing the cross at the top today, how strange!

So all seems fine, maybe just a blip on my phone then.
