MNHQ - How are product testers selected?

Just wondering if MNHQ can enlighten as to how testers are selected please?

I had assumed it would be random from the form entries but does posting on the thread make a difference?

Also, why do some entries continue for a good while even after you have 2 or 3 times as many people already entered as required? Surely this is not fair on those who entered in the first few days?

Hi OP,

To try and make our product tests as fair as possible, we select testers completely at random. Recruitment is usually left open for two weeks, and at the end of this time, we randomly select our testers. Sometimes a client has some criteria they'd like us to follow (for example, they might need testers with children of a particular age), so we can filter the applicants down using this, and then select at random.

Hope this helps,
MNHQ
