Can we not hide stickied threads?

I've tried to hide that postnatal thread stickied at the top because it's bringing back horrible memories. It won't stay hidden though.

Are we not able to hide stickied threads?

I've seen it in chat and in AIBU. I tried to hide it and it lets me click hide but then it's still there. I'm on the mobile site on iPhone.
