Educating on Northern Ireland threads

Hi

I know the policy on threads that are ignorant towards those with or caring for those with disabilities is that its not for those people to educate the ignorant and that they are taken down.

Any chance you could have a similar policy towards the goady ignorant threads about Northern Ireland and the DUP that have popped up in the last few days?

Thank you for raising this - we totally agree that there is no place on the boards for intentionally goady threads, whatever the subject matter.

Our approach to all topics - disablism, politics, whatever really - is that we will delete any posts or threads which are clearly deliberately offensive. We try also to avoid taking a sledgehammer approach to every thread. So, if someone has used the wrong terminology, or misunderstood an issue, where possible we will let the conversation flow - we need there to be discussion so we can all be better informed.

Please do hit 'report' on any threads or posts that you feel are in breach of our talk guidelines and we'll take a look. If we continue to see the same misconceptions being peddled over and over again by the same users, rest assured at some point this tips over into being goady and we'll deal with this as such.

Hope that helps!
