What, a moan about kids off school doesn't add anything?

Message from MNHQ: We've removed this thread as we're not convinced it's going anywhere useful, anytime soon.

Whilst that is true for most of AIBU and chat, surely it's no reason to delete? Don't tell me a closed school moan went so apeshit it had to go?

Hi Paxillin,

We know it can be frustrating when threads disappear but our aim has always been to make parents' lives easier – and when a thread is causing RL upset, we have to ask who it's helping. If a thread is nasty or spiteful in tone, it just doesn't make sense for us to keep it up.

Hope you can understand where we're coming from.

OP I read the first page of this thread and if it went apeshit I suspect it was nothing to do with the moaning about kids not being at school.

PinkSquash · 07/06/2017 21:35

It was more the OP getting slated for stating that she wasn't going to vote that caused the issues. People were awful

paxillin · 07/06/2017 21:36

Ah, so it did go a bit rough then. Was perfectly harmless when I visited. Thanks, Fliss.

I don't think most people were awful, a lot of posters (me included) gave their views on people who don't/won't vote and tried to encourage the OP to vote.

PurpleDaisies · 07/06/2017 21:42

Didn't that thread get hopelessly derailed?

TalkinPeece · 07/06/2017 21:42

It became two threads within one
I accept MN's point
but still think the OP was in the wrong
