Have you posted in the night watch topic too?

DancingLedge · 25/05/2017 22:42

Now sorted

Flossy would that have been a good place to put an urgent request?

Not familiar, where would I find that, should need arise again?

OP posts:
Run4Fun · 25/05/2017 22:45

It's gone now.

FlossyMooToo · 25/05/2017 22:46

Yes as the night watch monitor that board so will delete quicker.
Is the thread gone now?? Troll??

DancingLedge · 25/05/2017 22:51

Thank you Flossy

No, for once it was not troll, nor yet offensive. It was a genuine vent from a somewhat distressed OP, and it might have been good to pursue the discussion.

But, unfortunately, there were possibly identifying stuff, that could have had significant consequences IRL.

Ahhh poor poster hope they are ok.

DancingLedge · 25/05/2017 23:38

Dancing, do you know, did HQ make the OP come back to the thread to post that they had asked for it to be deleted before they would go ahead and do so?

Run4Fun · 27/05/2017 19:35

The op reported the thread herself to get it removed. My understanding is; the op is a member of a jury and the case hasn't concluded and is current. The thread could have compromised the trial outcome and the defendant may have had the case struck out if the thread was discovered on a public forum due to the details given.

DancingLedge · 27/05/2017 22:34

Why do you ask, User ?

OP posts:
EmmanuelleMumsnet · 28/05/2017 17:14

Thanks everyone.

We do get to reports as fast as we possibly can, promise!

DancingLedge · 28/05/2017 20:11

Tbf, response time wasn't bad.

Just concerned it was urgent.

Now I know to post in The Night Watch- but hadn't heard of this before.

Could MNHQ please confirm what the best thing to do is, in late evening/night?

Just "report"? Or, as advised above, post in The Night Watch?

OP posts:
ClaraMumsnet · 28/05/2017 22:01

Hi DancingLedge, we'd always advise to report, report, report- we will get to it. If it's something that's worrying or urgent then also flag it to the Night Watch- they can then hide the thread or post until we can take a look at it.

wisteriainbloom · 28/05/2017 22:07

I have needed a couple of posts deleted urgently recently and MNHQ were on it in minutes which was really appreciated (and amazing given how many reports they must get).

Also, my profile probably has a big troublemaker alert on it.

DancingLedge · 28/05/2017 22:27

Thanks Clara that's helpful.

Have I just densely missed this bit of info elsewhere, or is posting really urgent concerns to The Night Watch a bit of info that needs to be more visible on MN?
