Bookmarks vanished!

For the last week at least, I have lost the ability to bookmark anything. If I open a thread where I've previously bookmarked a post, it isn't skipping to where I bookmarked as usual, either. The usual bookmark icon just isn't there at all.

This is the case whether I am using my phone (Moto G4, using Chrome not the app - also happens when I use desktop mode too) but also when I use my laptop (Windows 8.1, also using Chrome, but it happened when I tried Firefox too!).

Is it just me this is happening to? It's really, really inconvenient when I'm trying to read long threads. I don't want to have to resort to the annoying place marking people do. Actually come to think of it, it's not skipping to my last post if I have posted on a thread and I'm sure it used to?

Hi There Roomba,

Thanks a lot for letting us know, we've passed this on to our tech team who will try to replicate the problem and find a fix for you.

Bear with us, we know this is really frustrating for you Blush

Thanks. I really can't think of anything I have done or changed that could have done this - I've been using the site in the same way for years with bookmarks working just fine. I haven't installed any other apps, chrome extensions etc. before this happened.

For info - just downloaded the Android App - bookmarking appears in that and seems to work fine. So I would have assumed it was an issue with Chrome, only it happens with Firefox too.

Hello!

Thanks so much for the extra information.

Tech is still having a dig but do bear with us!
