I now understand what a troll is but what does 'reverse' mean? Thanks!

It means say if you've been sacked for eating crisps, instead of saying 'was i unfairly sacked?' you say 'was i being unfair to sack someone for neatly and quietly eating crisps at lunchtime because they were trying to meet a deadline'

It's not always a troll to be honest.

Just someone who posts the reverse POV.

The most recent I saw was "I should be able to park on the road outside my house, so I put cones outside to reserve the spaces. It's a busy street but I'm really important and can't be late for work". The reality was this was the neighbours position and the OP disagreed.

Reverses are just generally annoying tbh and pointless. That's why everyone sighs deeply when they see one.

Reverse threads are kind of trolling though, because you're posting under the pretense that you're someone you're not - even if the situation/story itself is true.

I don't understand why anyone would post a reverse - just give the circs as fairly as possible and let us decide if YABU. If you're so sure YANBU then you don't have to post a reverse in order to get 100s of people agreeing with you.
Just don't get it.
