Mr Technical Advisor - why can't I post on a particular thread?

I've been trying since last night to post on a postnatal thread and it won't work. Have tested on other threads and it's fine. Very strange. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, it's very frustrating!

Is it a very long thread? They cap them at about 1000 posts I think.

nowanearlyNicemum · 07/03/2007 12:56

I thought it might have been that but this one doesn't even have 100 posts on it yet.
Thanks for trying!!

Oh dear ...

Hope someone comes along soon who's a bit more helpful than me

nowanearlyNicemum · 07/03/2007 13:08

Could it be because my post is too long?
I'm clutching at straws here

this happened to me. what happen happens? i got an internet explorer box come up saying an error had occurred and had to close. then it closed mumsnet! everytime. had to ask the thread to start another one

Egypt · 07/03/2007 13:25

sorry - just one 'happens' in that sentence!

nowanearlyNicemum · 07/03/2007 13:26

yep, that's exactly what happens to me Egypt, but only on one particular thread.
silly comment I know but I can't get them to start another thread if I can't post on it to ask them!!!

Hi, that's strange. Which thread is it?

nowanearlyNicemum · 07/03/2007 14:22

postnatal - there were too many in the bed so we all rolled over
or something like that
thanks

yes just one thread for me. it was the post natal maybabies 2004 one. had been going for a long time, but everyone could still post. i couldnt. thats why you now see a new one titled in capitals saying "MAY BABIES 2004 GIRLS - LOOK HERE PLEASE!"

you might have to start another one and hope they see it. unless tech has any idea?!

carriemumsnet · 08/03/2007 12:33

Sorry you've been having trouble - all sounds very odd. If you could click on the red exclamation mark and report the thread I'll make sure tech has a look.

nowanearlyNicemum · 08/03/2007 21:46

thanks Carrie, have done so
hope tech may have some idea what is going on

nowanearlyNicemum · 11/03/2007 12:58

sorry to be a pain with this but other people must be experiencing the same kind of problems - any ideas???

OP posts:
nowanearlyNicemum · 14/03/2007 12:14

ok, so I'll bog off and find some other threads to post on then, shall I?

shame, as that one was pretty relevant to me

AbbyMumsnet · 14/03/2007 14:59

What's going on - sorry it's not been sorted but Tech's on hols and it's been a bit manic this week. Are you still having problems?

nowanearlyNicemum · 17/03/2007 14:21

nope, still not working...
I'll keep trying but if tech could have a look at it (I'm sure it's not a top priority) I'd be grateful
cheers

I think my post was too long so I cut it in 2 and it worked fine FYI
