Why do I keep gettign logged out?

It's driving me nuts now, at first it was only when I closed the window, but now even if I'm not active for a bit I'm getting logged off. Please can you fix it!

When you log in do you select the 'remeber me for 30 days' option, that should keep you logged in even if you switch off your computer.

yes, and it always used to work, but it's been playing up for about 5 days now.
