How many posts?

I read somewhere on here that you can only have max 600 posts on a thread is this correct?
Think it was on a parking wars thread!
I have a thread of my own that has hit 600 posts. Is that ok? I'm reasonably new here.

Most, if not all, threads have 1,000 posts maximum - then they're locked. It really doesn't matter who makes all those posts.

Oh, and if the thread reaches 1,000 posts and is 'locked', you can then start a new one.
