Cross-Post? What does it mean?!

Ok what on earth does Cross-post mean?! I keep seeing it on here(newbie) and I just don't get it?! Thanks x

It's when someone posts something that says the same as you in the time it takes you to write your reply

It usually means that while the person was writing their comment someone else has already posted saying something similar.
