Links away from the app on iPad

fuzzyfozzy · 08/12/2016 19:21

When I click a link on the app, I successfully go to a page but when I click on the 'mumsnet' link in the top left, to take me back, it goes back to the homepage and refreshes the list.
So I've lost the thread I was reading.
On my phone, I get taken back to read the thread.
Hope that makes sense!

Hi fuzzyfozzy, would you let us know what operating system and browser you're using? Also, are you using the mobile site or the app?

fuzzyfozzy · 11/12/2016 22:45

Using the latest version of the app on the iPad, fine on my iPhone.

I'm having no difficulty on the app on an iPad. Have you cleaned up your browser recently?

fuzzyfozzy · 12/12/2016 14:34

Hmm never!! I'm presuming that makes a big difference

I think that iPads can sometimes get their underwear in a twist. Wink

It's useful (I've found) to actually switch them off properly from time to time - rather than just having them go into 'snooze' mode e.g. if you have a cover - and also to clear the cookies/cache etc (on Safari, I guess) on a very regular basis.

PS - and also clear out any pictures etc that you don't really want. (If they're on the device.)

Hi again FuzzyFozzy. This ^^ might be a good idea. If you're still having problems though, drop us a line again here and we'll ask Tech to cast their eyes over it.

Thanks. I'll get on it.
