'Vidoeo' adverts - WTAF?

Please, please stop with these full-screen video style adverts on the desktop site. They are sooooooo distracting and, worst of all, draw attention to my screen when I'm at work

And now I've gone and spelled video incorrectly in the thread title. Grr.

Just had 2 pop up in less than 5 mins!! So annoying and really loud. Awful awful things, really puts me off using the site.

It's making it very hard to post (am on old PC with windows 10 update), as there is noticeable key-press delay as video is buffering next to posting box. Nor do I want audio interrupting my thought processes.
